Sage Birth offers Hypnobabies™ hypnosis for childbirth classes as well as certified birth doula and hypno-doula birth support in Bend, Oregon and surrounding areas.

My goal is to educate Central Oregon families about their options and to offer them the possibility of an educated, empowered pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting experience. From Hypnobabies classes to birth doula services to babywearing instruction and breastfeeding support, Sage Birth provides the mother-to-be and her partner with resources to better prepare physically, mentally and spiritually for a healthy pregnancy, an empowering and beautiful birth, and nurturing their babies in confidence and joy.

Hypnobabies is a method of childbirth preparation that uses hypnotic techniques, imagery and guided visualization, deeply hypnotic relaxation and positive affirmations to create a truly calm, comfortable birth experience. This is different from any other kind of hypnotherapy or natural childbirth education that is available. With the mother awake, aware, and in tune with her baby and her labor, she is able to fully relax and enjoy her birth. This 6-session series teaches expectant moms how to train their minds to achieve complete comfort during their birthing, and teaches their birth partner how to best support the mother during her pregnancy and birthing time. The Hypnobabies goal: To help women have the easiest and most comfortable birth possible, using the power of their mind, body and spirit.

As a DONA-certified birth doula, I specialize in hospital labor support at St. Charles Medical Center Bend and Redmond, providing traditional birth doula and hypno-doula birth support for natural and unmedicated births, VBACs, first-time and repeat births, and support for medicated births and c-sections. I also provide hypno-doula support for homebirths, including water births.

As a childbirth educator and doula, I don’t bring my own personal agenda to birth. My purpose is to educate, support, encourage and empower parents to experience their birth their way, so I find out what they want and then bend over backwards and sideways to help that happen! I love to educate and nurture pregnant women and their families, and am honored to be the first person to bring Hypnobabies to Central Oregon.
